Sweet and Sour Cucumbers
The sweet and sour cucumber is a typical food of the Nordic countries that has been very popular with Italians. The success is to be found in the attention paid to the product.
All ingredients are carefully selected: the freshly picked cucumber is processed into (without stopping in brine) wine vinegar that is strictly upholds the traditional system of using wood chips and aged in wooden barrels; with numerous herbs evenly dispersed, and together with sugar to give the product a classic and unique taste. The classic way is to serve it is with bacon.
They are still excellent with all meats and as snacks. In the summer, kept in the refrigerator, sweet and sour cucumbers are a great thirst quencher.
Ingredients: Fresh cucumbers, water, vinegar, sugar, salt, herbs and mustard seeds.
Gherkins winevinegar
The “sweet and sour cucumbers,” and the traditional cucumber vinegar (vinegar cucumbers are stored in a richer mixture of vinegar than the traditional cucumber), have used only the finest ingredients.
The aged wine vinegar cucumber, after it has been aged with chips, sugar, and other herbs, makes it unmistakably crisp and tasty and goes well with most cold cuts.
