Our world is changing
For us, sustainability means balance: economic stability, environmental responsibility and respect for people.
It is time to redefine our strategic approach as a company.
At Zuccato we have always been tied to our land and to those who cultivate it. This bond is not just professional: it is the heart of our corporate philosophy, actively supported by an environmental management system certified ISO 14001.
For 2026 we felt the need to give structure and shape to our idea of sustainable development: a holistic approach that places economy, environment and community on equal footing.
What does sustainability
For us at Zuccato, the right synonym is balance.
Economic stability
Solid growth that lets us invest resources in the progress of society and the environment.
Responsibility
Towards the environment and local communities, in taking ownership of the actions we choose to pursue.
Respect
For our co-workers, people, things and rules. Recognising rights, opinions and needs.
"Because when it's made with balance… everything tastes better."

There is no real growth without the people who make it possible.
Often, when talking about a historic company like ours, thoughts go straight to the products, the years of activity or the milestones reached. But there is a fundamental principle, often invisible, that has brought us here with the same passion as day one: the value of our workers, women and men.
That is why we chose to change perspective: our first and most important "customers" are the people who work with us.
Listen
To truly understand the needs, ideas and aspirations of each person, giving voice to those who live the company day by day.
Share
Because corporate goals should not be handed down from above, but felt as shared milestones to reach together.
Design
To build, brick by brick, a workplace where well-being is at the centre.

The heart of our social sustainability.
We launched a listening exercise through anonymous questionnaires open to all our workers. The result was exciting and allowed us to turn ideas and expectations into concrete actions.
A new company noticeboard
To involve the whole team in the objectives, activities and performance of the company.
The "Opportunity Box"
A tool to guarantee a safe and respectful workplace, encouraging the spontaneous sharing of suggestions.
Renewed common spaces
A new fitness area and the refurbishment of the canteen and break rooms, for a more welcoming and functional environment.
Training also begins over a coffee.
When people speak about training, they think straight away of classrooms, courses and slides. But real growth, the kind that lasts, sometimes starts much earlier.
For us at Zuccato, some of the most useful moments of the day are the early ones: colleagues around a table, coffee in hand, those few minutes to share goals, some results, some challenges.
It is not a substitute for structured training: it is what completes it. The knowledge that matters is also built like this, in everyday conversation.
Placing people at the centre means creating the conditions for growth to happen every day, between one challenge and the next.
"No written outline. Just people really talking to each other."

Our first sustainability report following the European VSME standard.
For about a year now, with the support of Progesto srl — Benefit Company | B Corp, we have been drafting our first VSME (Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for SMEs) sustainability report.
A document designed to tell and share transparently the path and the actions we have taken and will take, following a European reporting standard.
In producing this report we did not just collect data: we thoroughly reviewed our management system and our business model. Only the first step of a journey we want to walk together with you.

Broadening the view: responsible growth with our partners.
The supply chain is at the heart of everything we do, from the strict selection of raw materials to the finished product. That is why it is essential to know our partners in depth and understand how they tackle ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) topics.
Our aim is to work with suppliers on how to improve together. The ultimate goal: to build an increasingly aware and cohesive market.

Stakeholder mapping
We identified and prioritised our supply-chain partners.
Targeted engagement
Direct engagement activities to build valuable relationships.
ESG survey
An analysis of sustainability criteria for a clear picture of the supply chain.
Our sustainability journey has just begun.
We will tell you about the actions already taken, and above all those to come. Follow us on the blog or write to us: every voice helps us do better.
