Over 150 years of history: from 1868 to today
A small artisan workshop in Caltrano, in the province of Vicenza. That's where it all began. Today, we are one of the most significant companies in the Italian food preserving sector.

1868 is a date that brings with it the flavour of 19th-century Venetian province. It was in that year that Federico Zuccato opened his artisan workshop in Caltrano, at the foot of the Venetian Prealps. In 1884, his brother Rinaldo joined the company, and the firm became "Fratelli Zuccato" (Zuccato Brothers), a company name that remains to this day.
Over 150 years later, the family spirit has not changed: the quality of raw materials comes first. What has changed is the scale and technology: two facilities, over 100 products in the catalogue, and a presence throughout Italy and in many foreign markets.
Working with fresh ingredients, respecting seasonality, and choosing local suppliers. These are the three pillars that have allowed the company to overcome two world wars, economic crises, and radical market changes.
In 2018, we celebrated 150 years in business, with an eye on the future and our feet firmly planted in tradition. A story that continues, jar after jar.
